Secular & Inclusive Homeschool Learning & Enrichment for K–6
The Learning Acres (TLA) Academy is a secular, inclusive homeschool learning community where K–6 students can learn, grow, and belong.
Through flexible academics, hands-on enrichment, creative exploration, and meaningful social opportunities, TLA Academy provides a supportive environment that embraces different learning styles, strengths, interests, and support needs.
Our goal is simple: to give every learner the space and support to learn at their own pace, build confidence and independence, and develop meaningful connections along the way.

Why TLA Academy?
TLA Academy isn’t about academic rigor or pushing children to meet a predetermined standard. We take a holistic approach, meeting each child and family where they are and recognizing that learning does not happen in isolation. Communication, regulation, sensory needs, relationships, physical and emotional well-being, environment, and life experiences can all affect how a child learns and participates.
Rather than focusing only on what a child is struggling with, our team works together with families to understand the underlying reasons and how different pieces of a child’s life may be affecting one another. Educators, families, and support professionals collaborate to create opportunities and supports that consider the whole child.
We assume competency and believe every child deserves meaningful opportunities that reflect their strengths, interests, needs, and potential. Our environment is intentionally flexible and low-pressure, with a child-led, play-based, and relationship-centered approach that gives children space to learn, explore, build confidence, and grow at their own pace.
A key commitment of TLA Academy is also making this kind of holistic, hybrid learning financially accessible. By working creatively with our nonprofit and for-profit partners, we build and share resources and supports that help reduce barriers for families. Our goal is to meet families where they are so that financial circumstances do not determine whether a child has access to a community where they can learn, grow, and belong.
